Ana’s Birthday Sweater Knit-along!

Cast On: Any time in September! Ana is casting on on September 8th at The Stitching Hour! Knit with us weekly at The Stitching Hour.

Cast Off: Before October 31st, yay Halloween! (Feeling ambitious? Finish in time for Rhinebeck and wear it!)

The Deets:

Every year, Ana knits herself a birthday sweater as an act of self-care. This year, Ana is knitting Andrea Mowry’s Winters Beach Cardi in Hedgehog Fibers Tweedy. Join in and make one too! This sweater is a cozy mix of cables and textures, and the construction is super fun (Annie already made one and absolutely loves it).

Need help with sizing or anything else? We can help! Reach out via our Fiber Concierge service.

Suggested Yarns:

Our top recommendations are Hedgehog Fibers Tweedy or Tweedy Noir!

You can also use Harrisville Designs Daylights or Nightshades for a different type of monochrome gorgeousness, or go full color with Brooklyn Tweed Arbor!

Summer Breeze Knit-along!

Cast On: Saturday, June 11th (World Wide Knit in Public Day)

Online Help Sessions: Join Ana for a complimentary Nesoi Tee fitting session! If you purchase your Anzula Breeze with us, you get free access to a one-hour session where Ana will go over the measurements for this top, and teach you how to customize it to fit just the way you want. We are running two fitting sessions, pick the one that works best with your schedule! You don’t need to have the yarn in hands for it, we are going to be working through the math in the pattern together.

Cast Off: before Thursday, August 11th! Wear your finished piece to our KAL Wrap Up Stitching Hour that week.

The Deets: Our summer KAL, inspired by Anzula Breeze! This is a slow summer knit-along (or if you’re a speedy knitter, make both pieces).

Join us for a summer of knitting! Yes, that’s really a thing, you just have to use the right fibers! Anzula Breeze is a gorgeous blend of silk and linen (the perfect summer fibers; linen is the only fiber that stays cool to the touch), hand-dyed by our friends at Anzula in California. They even created a custom tonal purple for us called Coven!

We’re making either the Nesoi Tee by Miriam Felton or the Folded Paper Wrap by Andrea Rangel - both are stunning pieces perfect for warm weather! The yardage on this gorgeous yarn is super generous, so you only need 1-2 skeins for the Nesoi Tee or 2 skeins for the Folded Paper Wrap! Pick your colors here, get swatching, and let’s enjoy some summer knitting!
